Commitment to Transformation

Every weekend at “Balanced Mornings” sessions, there’s holotropic breathwork to activate, ground and listen within, ice baths to energise and sit with discomfort, cacao and guided meditations to open our hearts and connect to Love, and a wonderful community. It’s become a place of profound transformation for Cara, Haylen, and myself—and now even my 14-year-old son and his friends ✨️

Stacey and Trent (The Balanced Couple), who lead the mornings, are a beautiful example of love for each other, grounded in self-love and service to the community 🙏🏽

To anyone on the Sunshine Coast, I highly recommend these transformative mornings. During the breathwork, I receive downloads about where I’m at and things I haven’t been seeing as the music moves me and the pause in breath allows complete stillness. The exquisitely horrible pain of the ice baths challenges me to sit with discomfort rather than fall into my old pattern of quitting as soon as things get hard. The warm magnesium bath, infrared sauna and sweet warm soothing cacao and meditation integrates and grounds. By the end, I feel deeply connected to the bigger picture, energized, and in service to the whole rather than stuck in the energy-draining “me, me, me” mindset. I walk away on a natural high.

Another practice I’ve found transformative is sweat lodging. The first time felt like a psychedelic journey and I was overcome with gratitude for my ancestors and nature. I recommitted my life to service, surrendering it all back to the earth and spirit. The second time? Gruelling AF—but afterward, I felt much more connected to myself and everything around me.

With these practices, tantra workshops, temple nights, other group offerings, one-on-one somatic therapy, giving and receiving bodywork, dance/ movement and my foundation in the Landmark curriculum, I’m a completely different person than I was 12 months ago when I got serious about transforming my sh*t.

For 15 years, I listened to talks and lectures on YouTube about transformation. While helpful, it wasn’t until I stepped into group spaces—in-person or interactive online—that I started experiencing true, embodied change.

Sometimes I wonder if I have the time or money for all of this, and then I look at how much I’ve grown and realize I can’t afford not to.

This is bigger than me. It’s about my commitment to Love and Transformation—and showing up for YOU. Ironically, when I let go of “me” and focus on “you,” my own fulfillment follows.

Of course, I mess it up all the time. But every time, I wake up to the bigger picture and recommit to Love and Transformation.

What practices or rituals do you use to transform your life and reconnect with Love?
I’d love to hear your experiences.
